New images of a proposed major residential development have been revealed as work starts on the project.
Construction has began on developer Deicorp’s largest ever mixed-use project, a 987-apartment Tallawong Village in Sydney’s Northwest.
A state significant development application for the giant new project, across from the Sydney Tallawong Metro station, was submitted in May 2021, with plans being approved in July this year.
The project is right on the doorstep of the Metro and along with the almost 1,000 apartments, it will include more than 9,000 sqm of retail and commercial space, plus a 3,500 sqm public park.
At a ceremony to mark the occasion, Deicorp’s chairman, Fouad Deiri, Mayor of Blacktown Tony Bleasdale and Riverstone MP Kevin Conolly turned the first sod and officially commenced construction.
Deicorp’s chairman Fouad Deiri said, “We are very excited about our Tallawong Village project and the nearly 1,000 new homes that will be delivered here.
“The project is already enjoying strong interest from first-home buyers, young couples and families who want to establish roots in the local community.
“Together with the planned $300 million Rouse Hill Hospital, and the planned extension of the Metro to the new Western Sydney Airport means Tallawong will be hugely desirable and convenient”.
Construction of Stage 1’s 333 apartments, retail areas and publicly accessibly parkland is expected to be complete by mid-2023.
