Union Place Hotel in Jannali brings Chicago-style vibes to neighbourhood pub
Espresso martinis on tap? Sounds like an offer you can’t refuse! A new Chicago-style pub which tips its hat to the Godfather is the coolest new venue in the neighbourhood for a southern Sydney suburb.
Jannali’s coolest new pub has drawn an enthusiastic crowd on its grand opening day, with dozens popping by for beers within hours of the doors swinging open.
The old Jannali Inn has had a chic Chicago-inspired facelift from JDA Hotels, which also operates the Peaky and the Allawah Hotel.
Several tributes to the Godfather on the wall hint at the food offerings, which include “traditional Italian fare, Chicago-inspired pizzas, share plates, yummy gourmet burgers and classic pub meals”.
Dishes include penne primavera, eggplant parmigiana and 12 varieties of pizza.
The menu also includes several vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options to suit the whole family.
Espresso martinis are on tap at Union Place, along with other enticing cocktails such as the pineapple paloma with pineapple, pomegranate and tequila, and the appletini with Grey Goose vodka, apple, lime and maple syrup.
Cocktails on tap are $10 on Sunday, while happy hour cocktails are also $10 from 7pm until 9pm between Thursday and Sunday.
Wines for $6.50 and schooners for $5.50 will also keep the cheer going all week with happy hour on weekdays running from 4pm until 6pm.
Union Place Hotel is at 34 Railway Cres, Jannali. For more information visit their website.
