NRLW top guns tackle red carpet with Dragons Jessica Sergis claiming top award

Ahead of the grand final on Sunday, numerous players from the NRLW took to the red carpet, with St George Illawarra Dragons try scoring whiz Jess Sergis the star of the night. SEE PICTURES FROM THE NIGHT.

Move over WAGS. The NRLW women are making their own mark these days at the Dally M awards.

Ahead of their grand final on Sunday, numerous players from the NRLW took to the red carpet with St George Illawarra Dragons try scoring whiz Jess Sergis the star of the night.

Sergis, now based in Wollongong with boyfriend Zac Lomax, took out the female Dally M Medal in Sydney on Wednesday night thanks to her top form for the Dragons this season.

Sergis, 22, said she was elated to receive the award.

“It’s the pinnacle for me at the moment. I am over the moon,’’ she said.

Things could get even better for Sergis however with her Dragons side bidding to take down the Broncos for the first time and claim the NRLW crown on Sunday.

The Dragons have yet to beat the Broncos in two seasons of the women’s competition.

In their one other match-up this season the Dragons lost to the defending NRLW champions 14-4.
