Nissan Patrol carjacked in Cronulla may be on Mid North Coast: police

Police believe a Nissan Patrol carjacked at gunpoint in Cronulla last month travelled with a second vehicle to the Mid North Coast as they continue investigations. Officers have released descriptions of the alleged carjacker and his accomplice.

Police believe a Nissan Patrol carjacked at gunpoint in Cronulla last month travelled with a second vehicle to the Mid North Coast as they continue investigations.

At 8pm on June 4 a man and woman attended a commercial business on Woodfield Blvd, Caringbah to inspect a white Nissan Patrol with NSW registration BF47SC that had been advertised for sale.

During a subsequent test drive the man produced a firearm and ordered the owner from the vehicle before driving away.

Detectives have now released CCTV which shows a dark-coloured Toyota Rav 4 in convoy with the stolen Nissan Patrol shortly after the carjacking took place.

Investigators believe the cars may have travelled together to the Mid North Coast and are now seeking further information from the public.

The man is described as caucasian, aged 25 to 30, 175-180cm, solid or stocky and unshaven with a distinctively bent or crooked nose.

The woman with him was described as caucasian, aged 20 to 25, 165-170cm tall, thin and fair with shoulder-length brown hair.
