Court documents reveal police will allege the brothers – both 25 – assaulted a man understood to be a taxi driver in the early hours of January 18 last year.

However, Nicholas Kamper – who currently resides in Bronte – was only served with a court attendance notice by Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command on November 3, almost 10 months on.

Christopher Kamper – who lives in Taren Point – was subsequently served with his own court attendance notice when he attended Eastern Suburbs Police Station in Waverley 10 days later on November 13.

The pair have since been hit with more serious additional charges of assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to the alleged incident.

The twins – who strenuously deny the assault allegations – will face Downing Centre Local Court for a two-day special fixture hearing on July 12 and 13.

Nicholas Kamper currently works as a national economist in the Australian Workers’ Union’s national office, while Christopher is employed as an undergraduate accountant at KKKP Chartered Accountants.

When the St George Shire Standard previously contacted Steve Kamper he declined to comment except to confirm his sons would fight the charges.
