A glam sales manager who saved and shared a nude snap of another woman inadvertently sent to her has fronted court.
Nadia Coratella, 37, from Sydney’s south, was charged after sharing an intimate image of a woman with whom she worked with after she was accidentally sent it on Snapchat.
Coratella, who is an ex student at the exclusive Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, had received the photo from a coworker by accident about 7pm on a Friday.
According to agreed facts, the victim was taking a shower and took an intimate image of herself using Snapchat showing her “waist upwards with her breast partially exposed,” according to facts.
Text superimposed on top said “enjoy my boobies.”
Yet the snap was incorrectly sent to Coratella who was then a sales manager at Fitness First Rockdale.
The victim quickly messaged her saying “I'm so so sorry, that wasn’t meant for you.”
She then saw the picture was “replayed” before Coratella sent back four laughing emojis.
About 11am the following day, the victim was in the Fitness First staff room with a colleague when he received a Snapchat from Coratella.
“The victim just so happened to be standing behind the witness (colleague),” facts read.
She was shocked to see the Snapchat was the same intimate photo she accidentally sent Coratella, according to court documents.
Later that evening Coratella texted the victim claiming the photo was not saved on her phone nor had “anyone else seen it.”
“I should never have shown him, that was a terrible mistake on my part, I had cropped the photo to show him how beautiful u are and sent through the f**in wrong photo,“ Coratella wrote.
“And I sincerely apologise.“
Coratella then flicked through a picture of what she claimed she was supposed to send.
The victim reported the matter to police before investigators obtained Coratella‘s telecommunication details and call charge records.
Coratella sat quietly wearing a black blazer as she pleaded guilty through her lawyer to one count of sharing an intimate image without consent at Burwood Local Court on Monday.
Two other charges including distributing an intimate image without consent were dropped.
The police prosecutor asked for a two-week adjournment for subjective material to be obtained which was granted.
Coratella will reappear next month for her sentence.
