Mentally disabled man assaulted: police investigate attack in Sydney’s south

A MENTALLY disabled man was allegedly assaulted by another man wearing a Snoop Dogg shirt at a train station in Sydney’s south last June.
Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the man after a 40-year-old man with a mental disability was pushed over onto stairs and punched in the face and upper body at Caringbah station at 1.30pm on June 29.
The assault allegedly occurred after a verbal altercation with the man depicted in CCTV footage, who then left the area with a woman.
Police Transport and Public Safety Command officers are investigating and believe the man, wearing a black Snoop Dogg shirt and blue jeans, may be able to assist.
