A young beauty from Sydney’s east has been locked up for almost two months as police allege she allowed drugs including ice and heroin to be sold from her apartment.
Megan Estafania Pizarro faces 21 charges in total, including for several alleged drug supply and weapons offences, following her arrest on April 21.
The Randwick resident and Brigidine College graduate has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Court documents allege detectives pulled up the 29-year-old in her car outside a building on Rothschild Ave in Zetland about 7.20am that morning.
Pizarro, who is disqualified from driving, was arrested and police allege they seized $2165 from the vehicle that will be argued in court was the proceeds of crime.
Officers then raided the unit in which she was living in at the building where they allegedly discovered a bounty of drugs and stolen goods.
That is alleged to have included more than 60g of cannabis, about 3.7g of methylamphetamine – or ice – 0.31g of heroin and 13.68g of anabolic steroid trenbolone.
Five unopened letters from a different address, which police allege would be used to commit fraud, an apple Macbook and blank prescription pad - both presumed to be stolen - and $300 in cash was also allegedly found inside.
Police have charged Pizarro with supplying 13g of ice, nine counts of drug possession and knowingly allowing the use of her unit as a drug premises.
Further charges of driving disqualified, dealing with the proceeds of crime, dealing with identity documents, two counts of stolen goods in custody, possessing a prohibited weapon, not surrendering a prohibited weapon and failing to keep a prohibited weapon safe were also laid.
Pizarro’s matter will return to Central Local Court for mention on July 10 after the court heard a hearing date could not be set until DNA analysis could be completed for the prosecution, which is now delayed until September.
