Illawong Village to get new late night cafe Gumbuya
Delicious! A new cafe will be serving food and drinks until late in Illawong’s local shopping village. Gumbuya Cafe in Illawong will be open til 10pm seven nights a week.
A new late night cafe will be serving up coffee for breakfast and delicious food all night long when it opens soon in Sydney’s south.
Sutherland Shire Council has approved an application for the new Gumbuya Cafe in Illawong to trade from 7am until 10pm seven days a week with room for 80 patrons inside and out.
The new cafe will take over a vacant shop at 273A Fowler Rd beneath an apartment block next to Illawong Village.
A coy Facebook page for Gumbuya Cafe says the new restaurant is coming soon, with mouth-watering images of eggs Benedict, acai bowls, Oreo milkshakes and mezzes alongside a call-out for waitstaff, kitchen staff, baristas and bartenders.
The only works undertaken were new shopfront fittings, fresh paint, LED lighting, new signage and new tables and chairs for patrons.
