Bikies in Australia: A short history

A Finks bikie was caught out with steroids and breast-reducing drugs for the second time in less than a year after he breached an apprehended violence order almost 500 times in three weeks.

Christopher King, 31, admitted to possessing a bottle of muscle-hardening steroid Anavar, 104 Androlic anabolic steroid tablets, five 10ml amounts of testosterone and 100 Stanazolol synthetic steroid tablets after a dramatic raid at his Sylvania Waters home in July 2018.

Police were chasing King’s housemate and fugitive fellow bikie when they uncovered the significant steroid stash at their home, which also included 30 MDMA capsules, 20 vials of Jintropin human growth hormone, a bottle of body-sculpting steroid Clenbuterol, and pregnyl, a hormone drug which can be used to increase sperm count.

He has pleaded guilty to three counts of prohibited drug possession and one count of restricted substance possession.

King was busted once again in June after breaching an apprehended violence order protecting his former partner 474 times in less than a month.

Officers from Central Metropolitan Region’s Operation Odin descended on his Gymea home the day after Sutherland Local Court enforced the order preventing him from contacting his former partner.

”On June 19 about 12pm a search warrant issued by the Downing Centre Local Court was executed at the premises,” agreed police facts stated.

“(Officers found) $1300 in $100 counterfeit Australian currency, four bottles of Testobolin steroids, and one bottle of Tamoxifen Sandoz prescribed for breast cancer … typically used with steroids to prevent larger breast size.”

Police also seized an open bottle of Diazepam or Valium, a resealable bag containing 34 white tablets believed to be Alprozolam or Xanax, and a 50ml bottle of clear liquid believed to be GHB or liquid ecstasy.

King will be sentenced for all matters on November 5 at Sutherland Local Court after also pleading guilty to stalking and intimidation, prohibited drug possession, counterfeit money possession, restricted substance possession, 17 AVO breaches and installing a tracking device.

He was first slapped with a provisional apprehended violence order on May 24 after confronting his former partner of 10 years in a Kogarah laneway, weeping and furious, and trying to force her to hug him.

King proceeded to breach the provisional order 474 separate times between May 25 and June 18, including on June 9 when he called and texted her 185 times in less than 12 hours.

He later confronted her and violently threatened her, once at Bankstown Central Shopping Centre and once at her friend’s home in Liverpool after installing a tracking device on her car so he could find her.

“Police searched the rear underside of (the victim’s) vehicle and located a small black tracking device attached to the top of the exhaust pipe,” agreed police facts stated.

“Police removed the device and observed the GPS light to be flashing, indicating there was power.”

King was employed as a crane driver until he was taken into custody on June 19.
