A young dad has been charged after an alleged crime spree in Sydney’s south culminating in a terrifying incident where police say he robbed a man of thousands of dollars while wielding a pump-action shotgun.

A young father allegedly wielding a shotgun has been charged after police say he stole thousands of dollars in cash from a man who had arranged to buy two mobile phones through an online trading website.
Police say Dobrosav Nikolic, 25, was armed with a single-barrel pump-action shotgun when he allegedly stole $3300 cash from a man and his partner in the Hudson St car park in Hurstville on January 12.
The pair had allegedly arranged to meet Nikolic under the belief they were buying two mobile phones he had advertised online before police say they were threatened and robbed.
Nikolic was also charged with two alleged home invasions in Arncliffe in the weeks prior.
On December 29 last year three men allegedly entered a Terry St home and demanded $5000 cash from the male occupant before they fled empty-handed.
Hours later one of the residents began receiving texts from an unknown number with threats and demands for cash before they contacted police.
Police were called to the home on January 13 after reports two men had broken into a granny flat and allegedly stole a number of electronic devices.
A 26-year-old Smithfield man was arrested at the scene after a short foot pursuit and charged with aggravated break and enter in company and has been remanded in custody to face Sutherland Local Court on February 24.
Police then arrested Nikolic at a Chipping Norton home on Wednesday and charged him with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, break and enter and two counts of demanding property in company.
He was refused bail by Magistrate Holly Kemp at Liverpool Local Court on Thursday to face Central Local Court on February 27.
