Bones of man found in Sydney’s south still under investigation
Bones discovered by a passing motorist in Sydney’s south last weekend have been determined to be male – but investigations must continue to identify the suspected murder victim.

Police have confirmed the bones of a suspected murder victim are male following early examinations.
A passing motorist who paused to relieve himself on the side of the road discovered bones in bushland on Sir Bertram Stevens Dr in the Royal National Park at 4.45pm on September 22.
A crime scene examination uncovered further remains the following day but further forensic tests will be required to positively identify the man.
It is expected Homicide Squad detectives will lead the investigation.
