Police want to identify a man seen riding “erratically” moments before two jet skis crashed at Brighton Le Sands - leaving a woman badly injured.
Investigators hope someone may have mobile phone footage of the incident at Brighton Beach on September 17.
Emergency services were called to the popular family spot about 4pm following reports two jet skis had collided.
Marine Area Command officers established that one of the craft launched over the other - striking a female passenger. The other rider left the area.
A 43-year-old woman was treated for significant facial injuries before being taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition. Her injuries require ongoing treatment.
Police want to speak to the male rider of a dark coloured jet ski that was in the area at the time of the crash.
Officers have been told the man was riding erratically before the incident - and may have also been hurt.
