Samuel Ellis (Pink): Man charged following alleged stabbing in Brighton-Le-Sands

A 31-year-old man has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s south on Saturday morning.

A man is in critical but stable condition after an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s south.

Samuel Ellis (Pink), 31, did not appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday after he was arrested and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

According to a police statement, emergency services were called to an apartment block on Queens Road, Brighton-Le-Sands about 8.30am on Saturday, with reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to the St George Police Area Command arrived on scene providing first aid to a 31-year-old man before he was treated by paramedics and taken to St George Hospital.

Shortly after, a 22-year-old woman was arrested nearby and conveyed to St George police station where she was later released as inquiries continue.

Various crime scenes were established along with an investigation into the alleged stabbing with Ellis later arrested at a unit on Rochester Street in Botany. He was taken to Mascot police station.

A crime scene warrant for the unit in Botany was executed by police.

On Sunday, Ellis did not apply for bail and the matter was adjourned to Downing Centre Local Court on December 14.
