Police have issued a warrant for a southern Sydney man accused of helping cover up the alleged murder of teen Jason Galleghan in what is alleged to have been a savage attack at a western Sydney home.

Jason was just 16 when police allege he was beaten to death by a number of people in horrific circumstances at a Doonside home.

Eleven people – many of whom are underage – have now been charged in relation to the alleged murder and remain before the courts.

Woolooware man Rebyll Oaariki, 24, is among them after police arrested him at Blacktown police station earlier this month.

Oaariki was charged with allegedly concealing a murder and received strict conditional bail to face Blacktown Local Court on November 25 – but he did not appear at court.

Magistrate Brian van Zuylen issued an arrest warrant for Oaariki when he did not appear and NSW Police are now seeking community assistance to find him.

Oaariki is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, between 170cm and 175cm tall, with black hair, brown eyes and a medium build.

Police say he is known to frequent the Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Penrith and St Marys areas.

Anyone with knowledge of Oaariki’s whereabouts is urged not to approach him but instead contact triple-0.
