Sydney Junior Rugby grand final wrap of winners, top try scorers, match results and standouts

There were thrillers, draws, try-athons and multiple trifectas as the Sydney Junior rugby season concluded with a series of sensational grand finals. Result wrap, standouts, scorers

There were thrillers, draws, try-athons and numerous players who scored trifectas as the Sydney Junior Rugby Union concluded with grand finals played across Sydney in a rugby extravaganza.

Thousands of young footy players gave to their all at assorted ovals across Sydney as they chased a winning end to their season.

In an encouraging sign for the future of both the women’s and men’s game there were multiple players who scored three tries or more in the deciders and one very special performance.

In an outstanding individual performance Elijah Chemillier ran in six tries for Forest in the U13s but his Forest White team were beaten for the grand final win.

Sydney Juniors Rugby Open A

Randwick Green v Randwick White

It was a club-on-club battle for this grand final with Randwick Green holding out their rivals for a 22-17 victory.

James Nestor made two conversions with Hugo Kulcsar going over twice and scoring off a penalty kick. Josh Lewis also scored a try for Randwick Green.

Daryus Sione went over the try line twice for White.

Sydney Juniors Rugby Open B

Sylvania Opens v Newport Breakers

Newport grabbed the points in this grand final, winning 29-19.

Austin Hulley, Daniel Comber, Aleks Devries, Levi Blundey and Comber all scored tries for Newport.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U11 Div 1

Coogee Black v Maroubra Missiles

Maroubra won this grand final 35–14 with a number of stand-up performances.

Lachlan Chappell scored three tries and Matai Betham two.

Koby Ellery nailed three conversions and Nathan Sherriff two.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U11 Div 2

Easts Beasties v Coogee White

Easts dominated this match 19–5.

Jack Humphrey scored a try and made a conversion with other try scorer Jock Stuart and Ben Southwell-Keely.

Sydney Juniors Rugby 11C

Allambie Green v Hunters Hill Black.

The Allambi Jets won the grand final 38–19.

Harry Dryden had a great day out, scoring three tries for the Jets and making a conversion.

Archie Sinclair also scored a try and made a conversion

Sydney Rugby Union U11D

Forest Green v Mosman Dolphins. it was so close between these two sides they could not be separated with the season decider ending in a 12–12 draw.

Forest Green were awarded a penalty try with Alexander Thompson, their captain, also going over.

Mosman captain Will Hawkins also scored a try, as did Joe Capelin.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U11E

Narrabeen Gold v Northern Barbarians.

In a close battle the Barbarians beat Narrabeen 24–17.

Mason Tokoly scored a hat-trick for the Barbarians while Tyger Ryan replicated the feat for Narrabeen.

Sydney Rugby Union U11F

Hornsby v Newport Dolphins.

Hornsby won this season decider 26- 10.

Hornsby had four different try scorers in Maisey MacDonald, Tai Richardson, Yoninah Diana Funaki and Rocky O’Connor.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U11G

Forest White v Mosman Sharks

Forest won this 33-28.

Forest shared the scoring around with captain Edward Brennan leaving the pitch with two tries and four conversions.

Other scorers were Charlie Young, Hugo Walker and Jensen Hauser.

Theo Sheridan was on fire with the boot for Mosman while Lauren Ruparel scored two tries

Sydney Juniors Rugby U12s

Clovelly Blue v Maroubra Missiles

Clovelly won the grand final 36–12.

Lanie Paea scored a trifecta in a great performance and Nathaniel Tauheluhelu scored twice.

Thomas Walden kicked three conversions.

Jeriah Betham converted his own try for Maroubra.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U12C

Harbord Gold v Lane Cove Gold.

Lane Cove took this match 33–19.

In a stunning performance youngster Felix Wiseman scored an extraordinary five tries in Lane Cove’s big win.

Sydney Juniors Rugby 12D

Norwest v Chatswood Stags.

Norwest piled on 36 points in the big defeat of Chatswood.

A standout in the 36–12 victory was the performance of Efi Jacobus Tuala-Smit who scored two tries and made a conversion.

Sioeli Ohi school to try and made two conversions in the big win

Sydney Juniors Rugby U12E

Easts Blue v Ryde

It was Ryde who dominated this battle, winning the grand final 21–12.

Ryde shared the scoring around with Augustino Tuipulotu, Joseph Hastings and Tim Spadaro-Duff all going over.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U12F

Drummoyne the Mosman Dolphins

Drummoyne were big winners in this matchup, taking the grand final 40–5.

There were a number of notable performances.

Matthew MacDonald scored a trifecta of tries and also three conversions to be one of the stars.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U12G

North Pirates Black the Coogee White Sun

A high scoring entertainer.

Norths ended up taking the match 35–31, but they were stars galore from both sides.

Julian Sila went over twice further winners with Henry Hughes making two conversions.

other scorer for Norths were William Cahill, George Courtney and Oscar Robinson.

In a head turning display, Joseph Macassey went over the try line four times for Coogee.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U13A

Penrith RSL Silverbacks v Newport Breakers

Penrith came home with the grand final win in this battle.

Five different players went over for Penrith in the 31-21 win.

The tryscorers were Chase Inia, Taiden Sandry, Jayden Xerri, Viliami Fatu and Soakimi Latu.

Xerri also made three conversions and Kane Beavan scored two tries for Newport.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U13C

Balmain v Lane Cove/KWP Gold

Lane Cove took this one 36–22.

The victors had five different try scorer including Joseph Duffy who went over twice.

Balmain also had a dual scorer in Hugh Christie.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U13D

Northern Barbarians v Narrabeen Black.

The Barbarians took this match 46–5.

Sebastian Dell scored three tries with his teammate Jack Dunlop going over twice in a great performance from the pair

Manly Savers White v Randwick Warriors White

Manly Savers beat Randwick 29–14 in this encounter.

The Savers had five different tri- scorers in the game in Max Treader, Lucas Roborgh, Luka Matwejev, Lachlan Murphy and Alex Dolly.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U13F/G

St Pats V Forest White

In one of the biggest scores of the day Forest defeated St Pats 54–38.

Spencer O’Neill scored three tries and Noah Goupy two with Lachlan Gliddon on kicking four.

In the best individual display of the day Elijah Chemillier ran in six tries for Forest well he’s teammate Mitchell Tapper kicked four conversions.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U14A

Penrith RSL Silverbacks v Wahroonga Black

Both sides scored five tries each but Wahroonga dominated with the boot to leave the field with a 33-27 victory.

Ezekiel Stanley-Ligaiviu had a great match with a try and four conversions with Saia Enasio contributing with a pair of tries

Sydney Juniors Rugby U14B

Easts V Drummoyne.

The Beasties took this match 24-19, after outscoring their rivals 4-3.

Rafael Welch was one of numerous standouts in the game with a try and to conversions.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U14C

Narrabeen Black v Forest

Forest ran out 22–14 victors against Narrabeen in this battle.

Forest had four different scorers in Oliver Gormley, Riley Atkinson, Harry Beverley and Samuel Akers.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U14D

St Pats v Norwest

Norwest came up with a 20–15 victory in this game.

Akein Gamage was a three try hero for his team.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U14E

Wahroonga Gold/Chatswood v Saint Ives

Chatswood scored two quick tries in this battle from Kwan Yuen/Issac Kong and Soren O’Carroll.

Variam Singh and Luke Abott added two more to help St Ives to their 22-12 win.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U15A

Blacktown Scorpions v Newport Breakers

In a low scoring match the Scorpions won the grand final 12-8.

Kaiasi Talakai and Bailey Logue both scored tries for Blacktown.

Bryn Wooldridge scored for Newport with Zac Gedz making a penalty kick.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U15B

Oatley v Lindfield Tartans

Lindfield just edged out Oatley 20-17 in this match.

Dean Hayes, Iverson Tanuvasa and Wesley Moale all scored for Oatley

Sydney Juniors Rugby U15C

Drummoyne v Randwick Warriors

Drummoyne took a big win in this match, defeating the Warriors 33–14.

Playing a major role in the win was Makoto Chapman who scored three tries and Archie Marshall who nailed four conversions

Saint Ives/Lane Cove v Randwick Warriors White

Randwick Warriors won this battle 35–17.

The Warriors had six different try scorer in the match in Charlie Baker, Edward Garland- Barnes, Symon Cullen Cheika, Zac Schapkaitz, Eamon Trehy and Auguste Gibson.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U15D

Mosman Dolphins v Manly Savers

In another high scoring match, the Mosman Dolphins defeated the Manly Savers 40–26.

Archer Mason stole the show with a hat-trick of tries and five conversions for Mosman.

Other scorers for Mosman were Brayden Ford, Sidney Roach and Max Nix.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U16A

Randwick Warriors Green V Western Raptors

It was all Randwick in this match with the Warriors running out 52-15 victors.

Charlie Tanner and Beau McKee both scored two tries and Saxon Gaw kicked six.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U16B

Lindfield Tartans v Oatley

Lindfield were too strong for Oatley in this battle, scoring seven tries to two in an entertaining affair.

Lindfield took the match 43-10 with Taj Scarr scoring two tries.

Sydney Junior Rugby Union U16C

Randwick Warriors White V Wests

Randwick just edged Wests for a 28-24 win.

Samuel Williams, Jarah Carr, Jasper Thomas and Samuel Williams all went over the line for Randwick.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10 Div 1

Maroubra Missiles v Easts Beasties

Easts Beasties won this match 31–7.

Young gun Edward Hodgman scored three times in this match and Harry Cairns converted three.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10 Div 2

Clovelly White v Burraneer Gold

In a thriller Clovelly just edged out Burraneer for a 24–22 victory

Thomas Walker was one of numerous standouts with two tries and a conversion for Clovelly.

William Dawson also scored a try and conversion in this match.

Siosaia Fililava scored twice for Burraneer.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10A

Western Raptors v Merrylands.

The Raptors took this game 32–7.

The Raptors ran in six tries to Merrylands’ one for the convincing victory and shared the scoring around.

Try scorers included Dom Soakai, Abel Patea, Leru Brown, Isaiah Nazio and Ariana Mackay.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10C

KWP Blue v Narrabeen Black

Narrabeen ran out 34–17 winners in this battle.

One of their stars was three-try hero Harrison Slack.

Stirling Elliot scored twice for KWP Blue.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10D

Western Raptors v Sylvania

In a great performance Kauri Waters scored three tries and Jireh-Pita Piliae Rasabske made three conversions.

The Raptors took the match 36–7.

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10E

Forest v Dural

Forest came home with a 31–24 victory over Dural in this age group.

Youngster Joseph Holbrook scored a trifecta and Charlie Gabriel converted three times while captain Jackson Woo scored two tries

Dural’s Chuck Bush scored a try and made two conversions

Sydney Juniors Rugby U10F

Mosman Dolphins v Lane Cove Blue

In one of the closest matches, Mosman just edged out Lane Cove by a point in this thriller.

Harrison Wynyard went over twice for the Dolphins with Charlie Lyons and Monty Lloyd also scoring.

Charlie Pitt scored two tries and made three kicks in a standout performance for Lane Cove who only just list the match 21-22.

Dufficy Cup

Manly Roos 9 v Seaforth Raiders 9

The Roos won this battle 40–5. Try scorers included Tobias Farrugia and Carter Foley with Archie Royal strong with his boot.
