The best of Penrith’s local junior footy talent was on show last weekend in the U19s Division-1 Don Feltis Cup.

See the top 12 standouts from round six.

BROTHERS 18-6 WINDSOR

RYAN GONCALVES (BROTHERS)

Tall and aggressive in contact, the backrower proved an absolute nightmare for the Windsor defence on the left edge. Made a couple of long range busts either side of halftime.

NATHANIAL TALAU HEIGHWAY FIFITA (WINDSOR)

Showcased his utility value with a wholehearted effort. The No.9 was dynamic out of dummy half before the break and led the defence, frequently making first contact with a traditional around-the-legs technique.

LACHLAN WRAIGHT (BROTHERS)

The dashing centre broke the game open with a slashing try in the closing stages. Scooted clear along the left touchline, teasing defenders before putting on a step to dance inside the fullback to make it 12-6.

MINCHINBURY 22-24 RIVERSTONE

LUKE PICKETT (RIVERSTONE)

Too much footy is never enough for this zippy half. Destroyed the Jets with a role in Riverstone’s opening three tries, including a solo effort to slice through and score under the posts. Cooled off and went again later in the day, scoring a try in first grade.

BRODIE GRAF (RIVERSTONE)

The only player on the field to keep up with Pickett, Brodie was on hand to score the opening try, then after halftime, loomed in support to finish off another break by the No.7.

OKA VAAI (MINCHINBURY)

Mobile for a big man, Oka tricked the defence with a slick move to open Minchinbury’s account and was never far from the action in a committed performance.

ST CLAIR 30-36 CAMBRIDGE PARK

BLAKE VAN DRIE (CAMBRIDGE PARK)

A key figure in his side’s blistering start, the five-eighth was rewarded with a double inside the first 10 minutes. After burrowing across, he stepped off his left foot to score another.

ZHAOQUIN-PANI TUPULUA (CAMBRIDGE PARK)

In a game where the backline dined out, the hard running prop dominated the middle, constantly thundering forward and creating space for the fast men to finish off.

CHAS RIDDLE (ST CLAIR)

With St Clair chasing points, the freakish fullback had fans at Peppertree up and about after the interval. Seemingly tackled, the No.1 sprang back to life, weaving clear and past another four defenders before coming to rest near the posts.

ST MARYS 27-22 EMU PLAINS 22

JHETT SYDIR (ST MARYS)

Calculated and cunning, the St Marys No.7 simply put on a clinic. Scored a try, set up three more, then with the scores locked, banged over a late field goal to ice the victory.

JOSIAH VAHAAKOLO-FIFITA (ST MARYS)

At his powerful best, the backrower owned the right edge. Exploded through the line to set up his side’s opening try and was lethal in combination with Sydir, scoring after the break to make it 22-10.

COOPER CARR (EMU PLAINS)

With his side behind the eight-ball, the busy lock stepped up in the second half. Ignited the comeback with a superb chip-chase play and continued to challenge St Marys’ middle defenders.
