With the teams named after famous NSW rugby players of the past, it was Team Ella who claimed the silverware after two days of matches in Sydney’s south west.

The young side produced the most convincing win of the weekend in the second last game of the event to claim the spoils.

In an entertaining match Team Ella had eight different try scorers in Ed Bryant, Phoenix Johns, Leo Stipe Latu, Sam Polley, Kordell Pritchard, Jack Kalms, Ewan Moody and Christopher Moala with Ed Bryant nailing three conversions in tricky and windy conditions.

Team Gavin needed to beat the U14 Gen Next U14 Baxter side in the final match to be in contention for the overall win but were beaten by the youngsters 21-19.

Isaac Street, Finn Hannon and Eduardo Garcia-Wood all scored in the crucial match against players a year older than them.
