Following an epic grand final, the Camden Rams closed out the season as undefeated 2024 premiers.

Before the summer sports take hold and memories fade, we’re celebrating by naming the team of the season, as voted by you, the fans.

From a list of top performers, it’s now over to you to vote for the top player in each position.

Once the votes are in, we’ll collate the numbers and list the team of the season from No.1 to 13.

FULLBACK

Aiden Menzies was ultra consistent down back for the Rams in both attack defence. In a hot field, James Lee was often among Thirlmere’s best every week.

Despite limited outings, Mittagong’s James Coyne always proved a threat, while from teams that missed the finals, South West’s Wyll Baker and Collies No.1 Adam Hoffmann shared in plenty of highlights.

WINGERS

In a big year for wingers, Camden flyers Eddie Aiono and Josh Goulton combined for 32 tries. Ray Mu continually bagged four-pointers too, and the Collies No.2 finished level with Thirlmeres’ Ken Sio on 16 tries.

Jordan Tencate and Bailey King took a power of stopping, and Casey Timmer was often seen in space along the Tigers’ left edge.

CENTRES

Camden’s Jack Miller starred in the back-row in 2023. A year later, he topped the charts with 232 points from right centre.

Elliott Moaga started in the No.1 jersey for Oakdale, before his bullocking efforts were shifted out wide. Challis Tupuola was untroubled in his first season in the top grade, while Curtis Scott and Michael Lett continued what they do best.

FIVE-EIGHTH

Good luck sifting through this field.

Jackson Willis was pivotal to Camden’s success, and Mitchell Brasington wasn’t far behind in a Tigers outfit that almost pinched the title.

Former NRL big guns Brad Takairangi and Corey Norman continued to turn heads in their first Macarthur season. After shelving retirement plans Jake Steadman stood tall for Oakdale, and Mittagong’s Jake Brisbane almost snared a NSW Cup deal.

HALFBACK

In a player of the grand final performance, Brad Speechley once again left his stamp on another fine season. Then there was Daniel Payne, who was arguably the player of the finals series.

Young bucks Alex Isdale and Picton’s Luke Keppie enhanced their growing reputations, while at the other end of the scale, Sean O’Connor and Tim Simona created loads of opportunities.

In a side that struggled for victories, Tyrone Harding lit up Narellan’s backline with 13 tries.

PROPS

There’s no shortage of horsepower in the engine room with the likes of Danny Fualalo, Joseph Ualesi and Alec Susino bending the line with every touch.

City and Oakdale were well served by the inspirational efforts of Junior Moors and Francis Tuigamala. Greg Eastwood proved a welcome addition as South West turned the corner, while Thirlmere’s Levi Bromfield filled the void left by a couple of big names

HOOKER

John Martin hoisted another trophy with Camden, and Blake Barbuto and Jermaine Haule more often than not broke clear for Mittagong and Oakdale.

Rielly Smith stamped his mark on the No.9 jersey at Thirlmere. South West hooker Tyler Ah-Chong and City’s Harry Brett also starred for their respective teams.

SECOND-ROWERS

Collies missed the finals, but Tifa Iuta was formidable all season. The addition of Trent Peoples was a key factor in Camden taking the next step.

At The Oaks, Ragen Gilbert started the year at centre, but proved his utility value in the pack. Harrison Coskerie and Picton’s reliable Steven Dengate were others to consistently impress.

LOCK

In a rebuild season, Tom Morrison led the charge for East Campbelltown and his efforts saw him crowned Macarthur premiership player of the year at the annual awards night.

Kyle Fraser and Kye Madden were among several familiar faces to churn out another fine season. After making the move from Narellan, Eddie Faalua stepped up and was crucial in the Goannas’ climb up the ladder.

And rising tackling machine Kohan Lewis didn’t let anyone down at The Oaks.
