As the Central Coast Cricket Association prepares to return to action after a three-week Christmas break, the big guns will be eyeing off their charge towards the finals.
With a handful of rounds remaining before the semis, we’ve crunched the stats and taken a look at the top players from 11 men’s grades, from under-17s all the way to first grade.
The statistics calculate each player’s returns per grade, meaning that those who have shifted between grades throughout the season will have multiple entries.
With the bat, Warnervale’s fourth grade gun Dennis Cyriac has recorded the most runs in any one grade with a whopping 430 so far this season.
Just slightly behind him, fifth grade pair Scott Thompson and Ben Payne, from Lisarow Ourimbah and Kincumber-Avoca respectively, have also been scoring runs for fun, both averaging in the 70s so far this season.
Meanwhile with the ball, Lisarow second grade opening bowler Jason Buckley has been the most lethal with 25 wickets, closely followed by Northern Power’s first grade rep star Chris Archer on 24 and The Entrance’s Jack Bailey with 23.
