HAROLD MATTHEWS
JETT FLATLEY
Comes down from the North Coast where he enjoyed a good stint with the Northern Rivers Titans in the Andrew Johns Cup.
A versatile edge player from Ballina who is well suited in the second row, Flatley’s size and ability to offload would drastically help North Sydney’s attack.
BENEDICT SUKKAR
With a background in league and union, the Bears will be hoping to convince him to focus on the 13-a-side format.
A versatile forward who was a regular off the bench with Pennant Hills Cherrybrook, Sukkar can add plenty of punch from the interchange if given a shot at this level.
JORDAN SAKKAL
Another from Pennant Hills Cherrybrook, Sakkal was also part of the North Sydney U16s Academy side last season.
He’s a strong hooker who is no stranger to the tryline and he was a regular standout. Should have no issues handling the rise in class.
SAXON GAW
A very nice addition to the squad for the Bears as a Narraweena Hawks junior who plays at hooker and can slot goals from anywhere.
Gaw is currently in the NSW Waratahs U16s Academy and has been performing very strongly to start the Super Rugby U16s season.
BYRON CARRAGHER
Also played in the Bears U16s side this year and enjoyed a strong season with The Entrance Tigers in the strong Central Coast competition.
Another hooker in the squad, but you get the impression his size and strength could see him fill multiple roles.
LISA FIAOLA
KATHREEN SIALE
Was the captain of the Fiaola side last year and in a tough season she was regularly leading from the front at prop.
Siale was named Bears MVP after a great 2024 and the Minchinbury Jets junior will only continue to improve this time around.
TIMEKA COLLINS
Took out the Coach’s Award last year with her consistency in the fullback role a leading part of that.
That form continued over to the club season with Pennant Hills Cherrybrook where she was second in the whole competition for tries scored. A serious attacking threat.
MADISON BOND
Plays in the same club side with Siale and the pair form a dynamic duo in the front row for Minchinbury.
Was used as an impact forward during her stint with the Bears this season, and with an extra year of experience she will come into her own.
SKYE MORRISSEY
Another returning face from this season and the dummy half will really be looking to kick on in 2025.
Most used off the interchange, the Pennant Hills Cherrybrook junior will be pushing to make the No. 9 jersey her own.
JAYLA TE ATUA
Also named in the Penrith Panthers summer squad so will potentially have a challenging decision on her hands.
Plays at Minchinbury with Siale and Bond, and North Sydney will be keen to win the race for the signature of the talented winger.
SG BALL
BUSTER HINDMARSH
The son of Parramatta legend who was part of the Harold Matthews squad last year and impressed when given a shot late in the season.
Played up in the Rouse Hill U18s side throughout the club season and gets a chance to lock down a more regular spot this time around.
BLAKE PASFIELD
Will line up in his second season of SG Ball where he was among a host of players to top the tryscoring tally with the club.
The flying fullback/winger is a Colyton junior who has been one of the bright lights of the Bears pathways over the past few seasons.
JEDDLIN BENINCA
Enjoyed an SG Ball campaign with Manly this year so could shape as a very nice recruit for North Sydney.
Can fill a number of spots in the forward pack and got a crack with the Northern Hawks in the powerful Newcastle A-grade competition this season.
JOSIAH PALU
Comes from the powerhouse league school of Westfields Sports High and enjoyed a campaign with Macarthur Wests Tigers in the Laurie Daley Cup this year.
Took his talents to the strong Penrith U19s competition with Emu Plains and the five-eighth looks primed for a big year ahead.
BRANDON NAVARRO
Took the reins as the Bears halfback last season Bears halfback last year and punched out a great Schoolboys Cup campaign with Patrician Brothers Fairfield.
Captained the Cabramatta U19s as well and there is plenty to like about what he can offer as a running halfback who will relish a leadership role.
TARSHA GALE
LOGAN LEMUSU
Very interesting addition to the Tarsha Gale squad after the fullback/halfback had a very strong season with Parramatta in Fiaola.
Graduated to play Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership at just 17 with Mounties and she is such a progressive player who will continue to take big strides.
NIKITA E
Was also part of the Parramatta U17s side that made the semi finals, leading the team in tries scored, and is one the Bears would love to have on their books.
A lightning quick outside back who we saw fly on multiple occasions, adding Nikita instantly gives North Sydney an X-factor they desperately need.
ALYSSA PEARSALL
Was one of North Sydney’s most consistent forwards throughout the Fiaola Cup season as a hard-hitting second rower, taking out the award for Best Defensive Player.
Played hooker throughout the U18s season with All Saints Toongabbie so remains to be seen how the Bears will use her in 2025.
JASMINE RORANI
Took out the Coach’s Award with Parramatta following the Fiaola Cup season as a classy centre who knew how to find the line.
Also has a background in cross country running, Rorani’s defence is another strong point of her game.
CHARLI PITSTOCK
Returns to the side from last season where she will come back for her second season of Tarsha Gale Cup.
An old-school forward who runs hard and tackles harder, a season of open women’s with Erina will have Pitstock battle-hardened once again.
