An elderly woman has died following a single-vehicle crash at Botany in Sydney’s southeast.
The crash happened shortly before 2pm on Thursday on Botany Rd, between Foreshore and Stephen roads.
A NSW Police spokesman said a Mazda CX3 travelling south along Botany Rd hit a roundabout and nearby garden.
The 91-year-old driver – and sole occupant – died at the scene.
“A crime scene was established as officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash,” the spokesman said.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Part of Botany Rd was closed following the crash but both lanes were reopened by 6pm.
