THE Southern Courier was given a sneak peek inside the largest residential development in Australia as the first tenants moved in.
Pagewood Green, in Eastgardens, was officially opened in a lavish ceremony last Thursday attended by Meriton managing director Harry Triguboff and federal Treasurer Scott Morrison.
Mr Morrison described the 85-year-old property developer as a “titan of our city”.
“Harry builds things and, gee, he does a great job,” he said.
The 2233-apartment Pagewood Green is being built in stages with only the first, Allium, finished.
It features one-bedroom apartments (starting at $800,000), two-bedroom (from $1.1 million), three-bedroom (from $1.5 million), and four-bedroom (from $1.8 million to $3 million) apartments.
Thirty per cent remains unsold.
Sales agent Steve Pappas said: “We’re pleased with how it has been going. We sold 100 apartments in our fist week. We’ve had a lot of downsizers.”
Many of the apartments have sweeping views of Sydney and there will be a 8000sq m park.
