University student $200,000 richer after Lotteries win
A university student from Hillsdale got a pleasant wake-up call on Monday — learning he is now $200,000 richer.
A university student from Hillsdale received the best kind of wake up call this week — learning his is $200,000 richer, thanks to a lucky lotto ticket.
The man aged in his 20s, who wished to remain anonymous, received notification of winning first prize in Monday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1237 when a phone call interrupted his sleep.
The Student told The Lott staff: “Oh my God. Thank you. I was sleeping when you called.
“I think I need to sit down, have a coffee and let the news settle in a bit.”
The man said he felt he needed to buy a ticket last week for the draw.
“I had this inspiring feeling to buy a ticket. Then I saw the big jackpot and I thought something was telling me to buy an entry,” he said.
“I’m glad I did. I only just started playing.”
He said he planned to enjoy spending some of his windfall but also save a portion.

“I think I’ll travel a bit. Maybe Europe or America — the whole world is right in front of me at the moment,” he said.
“I am still quite young, so I will save some for my future. I’ll put it towards a house.”
The registered player bought his one random number entry online at thelott.com — Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $46.12 million for draw 1239 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.75 million for draw 10275.
