Randwick were pegged back in their own half for much of the opening 40 minutes but showed some signs of improvement in the final five minutes.

Coach Owen Finegan did not hide his disappointment at halftime as the Wicks trailed 30-0.

Randwick went into the second half knowing exactly what was expected of them.

David Horwitz, returning from representative duties, came on as a replacement fly half. About 10 minutes later substitutes Alex Hills, David Vea, Latu Latunipulu, Sam Connor were introduced.

However, the changes failed to spark Randwick.

But after Wests’ Graeme Kolomalu left the field after being yellow carded for a second time Randwick found some momentum and ran in two quick tries.

The final score was West Harbour 30 Randwick 12.

It was a better day for second grade who held West Harbour despite them scoring three late tries.

Fourths were involved in a close encounter that saw them go into halftime down three tries to one.

But The Wicks came out strong with three quick tries in the second half.

The highlight of the game was tighthead prop Tom Snow taking the ball from Wests, kick off and running 60m and beating five Wests players to score.
