MAROUBRA Muay Thai star Cruz Briggs beat Adam Price on Saturday to take the WKBF Australian Pro title.

Briggs, who trains at the 8 LIMBS Gym in Bondi, knocked Price out in the second round at the Dee Why RSL bout.

It was a clinical display in front of a huge following from both Maroubra and Bondi.

Cruz only took up the sport six years ago but has established himself as a feared competitor. “I want to make a name for myself,” he told the Southern Courier earlier this year. “I want to create a bit of a legacy.”

Briggs, who is an ambassador for Italian sportswear brand Leone, now wants to make a name for himself on the world stage.
