A co-owner of a popular Sydney pet-friendly pizza shop who allegedly dealt a cocktail of drugs has excelled at an unlikely talent while on bail.

Andrew William Hamilton, 36, is yet to enter pleas for several drug charges, including magic mushrooms and LSD. He’s also charged with supplying cocaine, MDMA and ketamine.

The Huntleys Cove resident’s pizza shop in Potts Point, Brooklyn Crispy, has featured extensively in the media for its unique business approach: it also sells pizza to dogs. Alongside its human drinks menu, its Instagram also states it sells Puppy Vino - a bottled bone broth for its furry friends.

A now-deleted website of the Springfield Ave restaurant suggested Hamilton was quite the joker, with lines such as suggesting his own Aunt was a pizza, so it is in his DNA.

And it seems being arrested for an alleged side hustle of drug supply did not deter him from realising his comedy dreams.

Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court heard on Thursday that Hamilton had competed in national comedy competitions in late February and March 1 in which he won, taking him through to the finals.

His lawyer asked if the curfew could be pushed later so that he could be out competing until 10pm.

After being assured Hamilton’s parents do not have a criminal history, Magistrate Susan Horan agreed to the change in bail, telling the court he would need to be in their while out of his home in the evening.

Hamilton is charged with 12 drug supply and possession offences dating June 4, 2021, at Surry Hills. They include supplying 271.G of magic mushrooms and 3.42 grams of LSD. It is alleged he possessed 13.27gms of cocaine, 5.74g of ketamine and 34.16g of MDMA.

The matter was adjourned for further mention for March 31 at Downing Centre Local Court.
