The agreed facts stated Pilman used a stolen bank card to buy multiple items on August 11, 2019. That included a $20 taxi ride, $97 worth of cigarettes, and $75 worth of food at McDonald’s Kingsford.

Police also suspected he was behind a further $2000 worth of online purchases on the same card but only charged him over the smaller amounts.

The agreed facts stated the owner of the card had failed to receive the new bank card in the letter box.

Police tracked down Pilman and arrested him using CCTV footage.

Six months later, police caught Pilman using two further stolen credit cards. Both victims were again waiting to receive their bank cards in the mail at the time, the agreed facts stated.

He appeared at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.
