A Hillsdale handyman sold bags of ‘coke’ around Sydney’s eastern suburbs over three days, a court has heard.

Shahab Naderi, 35, appeared in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday, pleading guilty to supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis.

According to documents tendered to court, Maderi supplied cocaine to “a person known to police” from April 27 to April 30 this year.

About 6.25pm on April 27, Maderi visited an address in Woolloomooloo, selling one bag of cocaine for $300.

A couple of days later on April 29, Maderi was once again in Woolloomooloo in his white Audi Q3, selling one bag of cocaine – weighing 0.52g – for $300, around 6.07pm.

Just over an hour later, Maderi supplied two bags – weighing one gram – for $300.

The very next day about 6.30pm, the 35-year-old sold one bag – weighing 0.44g, again in Woolloomooloo, for $300.

Two hours later, Maderi supplied another bag – weighing 0.45g – for $300.

About 11.10am on November 23, police arrested Maderi at his house in Hillsdale, taking him to Maroubra police station and entering him into custody.

It was revealed in court documents, he has been on a bridging visa for approximately 10 years and when offered to participate in a recorded interview he requested assistance from a Persian interpreter.

Maderi initially “denied all allegations regarding drug supply”.

On Wednesday, Maderi’s lawyer formally entered a guilty plea on her client’s behalf.

Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge ordered a sentencing assessment report, adjourning the matter until February 22, where Maderi will be sentenced.

“My starting point is the Section 5 (where a court is satisfied there is no alternative to jail) is crossed with these types of matters,” Magistrate Milledge said.

“Drugs are an insidious blight on this community.”
