About 150 people have been evacuated from Royal Randwick Shopping Centre following a gas leak.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to the popular mall about 12.45pm on Friday.
A NSW Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said firefighters discovered a CO2 leak inside the centre and the mall and car park were evacuated.
However, she said at 1.30pm the leak had been isolated and shoppers could soon be allowed back inside.
“It has since been isolated. Atmospheric monitoring is being conducted to ensure the all clear before occupants are allowed to return.”
Four fire crews attended including hazmat crews.
