Police probe carpark fire
ONE car was destroyed and three others were damaged following a suspicious fire in a Coogee apartment block underground carpark early this morning.

ONE car was destroyed and three others were damaged following a suspicious fire in a Coogee apartment block underground carpark early this morning.
Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to the fire in the garage of a two-storey apartment block on Mount St, near Alison Rd, about 12.45am on Wednesday.
Firefighters from Randwick, Maroubra and Woollahra and Eastern Beaches Police Area Commanded responded. Fire crews wore breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze in low visibility.
One car was gutted by fire, while three other vehicles and a scooter were damaged by water and smoke.
Twenty-five people, including residents of the building and nearby homes, were evacuated but no one was injured.
There was significant damage to the carpark.
Police have established a crime scene and the cause of the blaze is yet to be determined. Fire and Rescue NSW investigators have also been called in.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire, or who has dashcam or CCTV vision to come forward.
