Police arrest four men across Matraville, Chullora and Merrylands over alleged links to drug and firearms
Police have arrested four men across three suburbs of Sydney over alleged links to drug and firearm supply in NSW. Here’s the latest as they face court.

Four men across greater Sydney area have been charged over alleged links to the drug and firearm supply across NSW.
In May, NSW police created Strike Force Brevifolia to investigate a number of criminal networks that were supplying large commercial amounts of drugs across the state.
While investigating, detectives uncovered a Sydney-based syndicate that police allege were involved in both drugs and prohibited firearms.
About 12pm Thursday July 25, detectives attached to the strike force arrested three men across Matraville, Chullora and Merrylands.
Chullora man Ihsan Elali, 40, was arrested at a gym and taken to the Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with knowingly direct activities of criminal group, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, supplying prohibited drugs and possessing prohibited drug.
He was refused bail and is set to appear before the Parramatta Local Court on September 19.
Matraville man Kahi Taya Dowd, 23, was arrested and taken to the Maroubra Police Station, where he was charged eight offences including supply of prohibited firearm to an unauthorised person, supplying ammunition, three counts of supplying drugs and taking part in supplying prohibited drugs.
He was refused bail and is set to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on September 17.
Khalid Mohamed, 21, was arrested in Merrylands and taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of supplying drugs, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and participating in criminal groups.
He was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court on September 12.
While executing the search warrants in Chester Hill, Matraville and Wiley Park, police allegedly seized $340,000 in cash, 12kg of cocaine, 2.6kg of cannabis, cocaine, ketamine, gloves, balaclava, two Audi cars, mobile phones and three high end watches.
Police also seized two ounces of meth, one ounce of cocaine, two firearms and 1kg of MDMA in a previous search that police allege are linked to the syndicate.
During these searches, Richard McGlone, 48, was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station. He was charged with supplying drugs and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and is set to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on September 17.
