HUNDREDS of you have already voted in our search for the Greatest Rabbitoh of all time poll.

And you’re in good company, with league journo legend Phil Buzz Rothfield also having his say.

“Talk about an almost impossible assignment,” he told the Courier.

“Trying to pick the best 10 players from a 1908 foundation club that has won more premierships than any other side …

“There are probably 25 players who could have made the top 10. It comes down to opinion and we’ve all got our views.”

John Sattler, who played for much of the 1970 Grand Final, with a broken jaw also made Buzz’s top ten

He said the first two pick themselves.

“Clive Churchill as an original immortal and Ron Coote who has been desperately close to joining the most prestigious group in the game,” he said.

His number three has been many people’s number one in the first week of voting: Bob McCarthy.

Then comes the two current players to make Buzz’s list: Sam Burgess and Greg Inglis.

“Both would walk into any South Sydney side in any era,” Buzz said.

John O’Neill, the veteran of five grand finals with the Souths, is sixth on Buzz’s list followed by John Sattler, who famously played most of the 1970 Grand Final with a broken jaw.

Elwyn Walters, who was also popular with you in the first week of voting, is Buzz’s number eight.

George Treweek, who played in the 1920s and 30s, and Bob Grant, who won three premierships with the Bunnies, round out Buzz’s top ten. There is still time for you to pick your top ten Rabbitohs of all time.
