A single answer on Millionaire Hot Seat has netted a Randwick woman a windfall, and will make a difference to some of our neediest children.

Stephanie Raad was one of six employees from the Sydney Children’s Hospital who appeared on the same episode of the Nine Network game show yesterday.

The employees had the chance to win money for themselves, and Nine would donate the same amount to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.

However the employees did not initially fare as they hoped.

Ms Raad’s colleagues gave a series of incorrect answers and `passes’, and she was called to the hot seat for the final question.

The hospital employees had been unable to secure any money for themselves or the foundation, meaning Ms Raad had the last chance.

“There were my own nerves but I also knew `if I get this wrong, the hospital gets nothing’. It was extra pressure,” the project manager said.

“When you’re sitting at home playing, there is zero pressure.”

Host Eddie McGuire asked Ms Raad which artist sung the hit `Humble’, which won Triple J’s Hottest 100 music poll for 2018.

The choices were Jay Z, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar.

“I wasn’t living in Australia at the time, and I wasn’t hearing the song at all,” Ms Raad told the Courier.

“I was tossing up between Kendrick Lamar and another option. I wasn’t 100 per cent certain.

“As the timer counts down you think `you’re going to look like an absolute Muppet if you get one question wrong’.”

Fortunately for Ms Raad and the hospital, she said Kendrick Lamar.

The correct answer won her and the foundation $50,000 each.

Ms Raad gave birth to a daughter, Chloe, eight months ago.

She said she would use the money to treat those in her mothers group, and for Chloe’s education.

The episode was part of the foundation’s Gold Telethon fundraising appeal.
