Brad Barbaschow: Maroubra man in court accused of stabbing neighbour

A man from Sydney’s southeast has fronted court accused of stabbing a young neighbour during a heated dispute.

A Maroubra man has fronted court accused of stabbing a teenage neighbour during a heated dispute.

Bradley Jason Barbaschow, 35, was arrested after police were called to a neighbour dispute about 9am on Thursday at a unit block on Royal St, Maroubra.

Police will allege in court that Barbaschow and another man Rupert Elliott, 19, were involved in a fight before the younger man was stabbed in the back.

The younger man was treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Barbaschow also required hospital treatment for a minor facial injury.

Upon release from hospital, Barbaschow was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He fronted Waverley Local Court on Friday and was refused bail.

His matter will be back in court in January.
