Ravi Wasan is taking his travelling free-flight bird show to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
He is excited about the Big Top Amphitheatre shows, and can’t wait for the crowd to meet his latest additions — two blue and gold macaws.
Dante and Calypso were bred in Australia and have joined Mr Wasan’s line-up of feathered friends.
“The bird originates from South America ... and I raised them from fluff balls,” Mr Wasan said.
“They have a great life — they get to fly every day here.”

“The Sydney Royal Easter Show performance is about the gift of flight and showcasing that to spectators,” he said.
“We want the birds to be birds and let people who wouldn’t normally see them, appreciate them.
“And it will be Dante and Calypso’s first show after being in training for six months.”
Mr Wasan’s bird show was at the Easter show last year on a smaller scale, but he has grand plans this year.
“We’ll have macaws, eclectus, red-tailed black cockatoos and barn owls,” he said. “The rest will be revealed at the show.”
The Sydney Royal Easter Show runs from next Thursday, March 26, to April 8.
