FAR  from the monster waves of Cloudbreak, where she had the most courageous win of her career, Sally Fitzgibbons joined just three surfers braving the cold at Bondi Beach yesterday.

Last week she fought through a perforated eardrum and food poisoning to win in Fiji, pushing herself closer to an elusive World Surfing League title.

Yesterday at the Bucket List, she announced Piping Hot as a major sponsor.

The 24-year-old said she would draw strength from her recent victory as she aims to claim her first WSL title: “It was a wild two weeks; I can’t hear out of the left side, I got food poisoning the day after the accident.

“It was one of the most rewarding wins in my career and such an incredible feeling, when that hooter sounded I had given it everything, I was so exhausted I was shaking and crying.

“I will definitely be looking upon that result and that week to draw confidence from at any point in my career and say where there is a will there is a way.
