Ryde teen eats 18 sausages during NSW Election day
A teenager from northwest Sydney has made a bold statement that he will eat 18 sausage sandwiches from across his local electorate, in the hopes of naming the best #democracysausage.
A teenager from Ryde has made a bold pledge; to eat 18 sausage sandwiches across North Sydney and determine the very best democracy sausage.
Avid Liberal fan Cameron Last made the claim on Ryde Liberal MP Victor Dominello’s Facebook page today.
“Looking forward to going to all the booths in Ryde and judging their sausage sandwiches,” he said.
Cameron, 14, will have to visit the Meadow Bank Public School stall, Ryde Public School, The Ryde TAFE, Meadowbank College, Royal Ryde Rehab and Putney Public School, who are holding a specific democracy sausage and cake stall to raise funds for the school. But that’s not all, he will have to make it to West Ryde Public School, Ryde Hospital and Denistone if he wants to make his goal.
“I’m feeling very goo about it,” Cameron said.
The key to a good democracy sausage is all in the type of protein, and making sure the extras do not take the limelight away from the hero.
“it has to be a good quality sausage,” Cameron said.
“It has to have good value for money. The bread has be good, not too small.”
The top of the list for Cameron is currently Ryde East and Eastwood Heights, but with half of his sausage count left, it is anyone’s game.
“I had a light dinner yesterday and didn’t have any breakfast today. I am committed.”
