Woman charged after being caught in a Quakers Hill shopping centre carpark with illegal drugs

QUAKERS HILL
A Tumut woman, 20, was charged with possessing a prohibited drug after police spotted a car she was in parked in a shopping complex on Quakers Hill Parkway, Quakers Hill, last Wednesday. About 1pm, police on patrol stopped and spoke to a number of people, searched a silver Ford Falcon and found a plastic container with small plastic bags containing 3.4g of methamphetamine (ice). As a result, the female driver was charged and given bail to appear in Blacktown Court on March 27.
KELLYVILLE
A Schofields man, 18 was given a second and final cannabis caution after police noticed he had the drug in the centre console of his black Toyota Supra parked in York Rd, Kellyville, on Friday, about 5pm.
KELLYVILLE
Bags and a backpack containing wallets, sunglasses and $1400 cash were stolen from a property in Wrights Rd, Kellyville, between 10.45pm and 11pm on Friday. A police report said the offender gained entry to the home through a closed but unlocked rear sliding door.
BEAUMONT HILLS
Two wallets, two money boxes, a laptop and mobile phone, worth $660, were stolen from a home in Redgum Close, Beaumont Hills, between 1.30pm and 6pm last Wednesday. A police report said the offender gained entry to the rear laundry door that was closed but not locked.
STANHOPE GARDENS
A laptop, valued at $1000, was stolen when an offender broke into a home in Rothbury Tce, Stanhope Gardens, between 7.15am and 6pm last Tuesday. The offender gained entry by smashing a ground-floor glass door. Police and fingerprint officers attended and investigations are continuing.
KELLYVILLE RIDGE
A Bligh Park man, 18, was given an infringement notice for trying to steal a $69 bottle of whisky from the Dan Murphy’s liquor store on Merriville Rd, Kellyville Ridge, last Monday. According to a police report, the man entered the store at 1.50pm, took the bottle of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked whisky, and left the premises without paying for it. Police who where in the area at the time, spoke to the man as he returned to his car and found the bottle of whisky. The bottle was recovered and the man was issued with a $300 infringement notice.
KELLYVILLE RIDGE
Police are looking for a man who stole two bottles of cognac, worth $200, from the Dan Murphy’s liquor store on Merriville Rd, Kellyville Ridge last Tuesday. A police report said the man entered the store at 6.20pm, took the two bottles of cognac and left without paying for them. The man is described as caucasian, about 30 years old, 160cm tall, with a thin build and short, blonde hair. He was wearing a navy-blue jacket and blue jeans at the time.
GLENWOOD
A Glenwood man, 57, was charged with the murder of a woman, 56, at a home in Glenwood Park Drive, Glenwood, last Tuesday afternoon. A police report said at 4.15pm, officers attended and found the body of a woman, 56. Soon after 6pm, police located and arrested a man without incident at a Kings Langley shopping centre. The man was taken to Riverstone Police Station, and later charged with murder.
