SCHOFIELDS
Police are on the hunt for two women who stole a trolley load of groceries from Woolworths at Schofields on Friday. A police report said at 7.30pm two women entered the store, selected a number of items and put them in the trolley before walking out of the store and making no attempt to pay. A store assistant tried to stop them, but they left the area. The first woman is described as having blonde hair and was wearing brown pants with a black jumper carrying a black handbag. The second woman is described as having brown hair and was wearing white pants, a white hoody and black handbag.
DOONSIDE/QUAKERS HILL
A 31-year-old man was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle while holding a disqualified licence along Power St at Doonside on March 28. Police said they singalled for the driver to stop about 4pm but he allegedly ignored them and a pursuit started. The pursuit ended at Aloe St, Quakers Hill, where the driver got out of the car and ran through parkland and crossed a canal before police arrested him. The 31 year old was charged with not stopping during a police pursuit, disqualified driving and driving an unregistered vehicle. He is due to appear at Mt Druitt Court on April 13.
ROUSE HILL
Police would like to speak to a truck driver who assaulted a man on Windsor Rd, Rouse Hill, on Saturday. A police report said a Kurrajong man, 19, was travelling along Windsor Rd with his girlfriend in a silver Landcruiser when he tried to merge into a right lane and was cut off by a truck with a trailer. Both pulled over to the side of the road where a verbal argument took place and the truck driver allegedly pushed and punched the male driver before getting back into his truck and driving off. Police are looking for any witnesses.
KELLYVILLE
A Volkswagen Scirocco, laptop, set of keys and a backpack were stolen from a home in Gasnier Ave, Kellyville between 10.30pm on Thursday and 7.30am Friday. A police report said an unknown person gained entry by opening a ground floor front door.
ROUSE HILL
A tool belt which contained an assortment of hand and power tools to the value of $3000 was stolen from a white table top ute parked in Mailey Circuit, Rouse Hill between 12.05am and 6am Friday. A police report said an unknown person forced the door open and stole the belt.
KELLYVILLE
Police are on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted a female Austrian tourist, 21, while she was on a Hills bus from the City to Kellyville last Monday. A police report said the female tourist residing in Kellyville got onto the Hills bus at the QVB at 4.20pm. While she was on the bus a man sat next to her and placed his right arm on her thigh. He then started rubbing her inner thigh before
fondling her underneath her clothing. The woman moved from her seat to a different spot on the bus and contacted police. The man is described as Indian in appearance, about 30 years old, with black hair, stubble beard and was wearing a bright blue T-shirt, long jeans and a black backpack.
GLENWOOD
A Glenwood man, 44, was banned from the Bunnings store at Castle Hill and given an infringement notice for stealing a sink mixer worth $265 last Wednesday afternoon. A police report said the man entered the store on Victoria Ave at 1.20pm and selected a sink mixer. He then walked out, placed it in the front seat of his car and covered it with clothes. He was approached by a lost prevention officer who called police and recovered the item.
BOX HILL
UP to $8000 worth of antique furniture were stolen from a unoccupied home in Terry Rd between 10am on February 27 and noon on March 23. A police report said an unknown person gained entry through the front door and stole an antique desk, buffet and hutch, plus a dinner set.
