Tracking device leads police to location of stolen property and offender

A MAN has been charged with aggravated break and enter and three counts of goods in custody after he allegedly was found inside a home by it’s occupant in Garnet Place, Kellyville in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

As a result of a tracking device located on one of the property stolen, police were able to find their location and later that day attended an address in Marayong and arrested a man.

A MAN has been charged with aggravated break and enter and three counts of goods in custody after he allegedly was found inside a home by it’s occupant in Garnet Place, Kellyville in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A police report said at 1am, a 44-year-old male occupant of the home, challenged a man who he found inside his home.

The man ran from the premises, however, not before stealing a laptop, handbag, earphones, wallets, iPads and a backpack..

The offender, however, left a torch behind.

As a result of a tracking device located on one of the property stolen, police were able to find their location and later that day attended an address in Marayong and arrested a man.

They also conducted a search of a the property and located the stolen property.

A Marayong man, 18, was taken back to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged.

His bail was refused and he is now due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on May 25.

All stolen property was recovered.
