The Rouse Hill Rhinos’ Pink Day fundraiser has once again been hailed as a success after attracting a strong crowd to Wrights Road Reserve in Kellyville on Saturday.
Held every year since 2011, the Pink Day fundraiser sees “Rhinos Park” turn pink in support of The Breast Cancer Foundation.
This year’s event was also raising money for the Headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation.
Every Rhinos player donned a special pink jersey for the day while each team supported the cause with a donation.
Plenty of money was raised off the field as well when the club kept the crowd entertained with rides, showbags, food and cake stalls and even a jumping castle.
Milly Coinakis has been organising Pink Day for seven years and said she was proud of how the event continued to grow and bring the community together year after year.
“Once again it was a really great day,” she said.
“We had a big crowd there all day with games running from 9am until about 6.30pm. The weather held out for us as well which really helped. It’s always received really well and in such good spirit by the whole community.”
