ROUSE Rd at Rouse Hill has been closed due to flooding following the heavy rains overnight and this morning.
The road closures were announced by Blacktown Council which also announced that Stony Creek Rd in Shanes Park was also closed.
Rouse Rd, which services the nearby Rouse Hill Anglican College, has had issues with flooding for some years with the federal government and Blacktown Council finally agreeing to build a long-awaited bridge last year.
The bridge is expected to cost $7 million and will be jointly funded by the government and the council.
On Tuesday, Grange Ave (Marsden Park) and Hambledon Rd (Schofields) were also closed by due to flooding.
The Hills have been experiencing severe rains and storms in recent weeks with the worse damage being inflicted by the hailstorm on Saturday, February 18.
The rains have worsened the flight of residents with the broken roofs causing internal damage in several homes.
