Police build case against alleged Lego thieves
A Vineyard couple have been charged by police with stealing 47 boxes of Lego.

A Vineyard couple who allegedly stole 47 boxes of Lego have been charged with several counts of larceny after a police raid on a house on Clyde St on Sunday.
The duo were arrested at 2am after police armed with a search warrant entered the house where they discovered the Lego and several other allegedly stolen items. A 48-year-old man was charged at Windsor police station with three counts of larceny, and a 28-year-old woman was charged with four larceny offences. Police will allege the Lego was stolen from several shops around Botany Bay on Saturday.

A wheelchair was stolen from Rouse Hill town centre on Sunday about 10.25am. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the mobile thief after the courtesy chair was stolen.

A woman stole a four-pack of Woodstock Bourbon and put it in her bag at a Windsor Rd liquor shop on Sunday at 3.14pm. Police are examining CCTV footage.

Don’t forget to lock your car is the message from police following a theft at Panmure St where cash was taken from a vehicle left unlocked. The theft of a small amount of cash from the Mazda 3’s glovebox happened between 10.30pm on Saturday and 12.30pm on Sunday.
RIVERSTONE
A 17-year-old will front Parramatta Children’s Court on March 1 after police found him in possession of a 12cm knife and a small bag of drugs. Police were patrolling Park St on Saturday at 11.20pm when they saw the teen in a parked car. When they spoke to him they discovered the knife tucked down the front of his jumper and he had a clear plastic bag with drugs in it. The boy was charged with custody of a knife in a public place.
ROUSE HILL
A grey Ford Territory was broken into outside its owner’s house at Mailey Circuit between 8.30pm on Saturday and 11.45am on Sunday. The vehicle’s rear door lock was tampered with, allowing the thief to steal a set of Bluetooth headphones and a GPS unit valued together at $250.
GLENWOOD
A Glenwood man who was allegedly drunk at the wheel of a car on Monday at 9.30am has been charged with attempting to drive with a mid-range blood alcohol level. The 52-year-old was reported by several members of the public who called police. When officers arrived at an address on Sharrock Ave they found the man with the key in the ignition of his Toyota Landcruiser trying to turn the engine off. A breath test revealed he was over the limit and when arrested and taken to Riverstone police station he returned a mid-range 0.103 reading. The man will appear at Blacktown Court on February 26.
SOUTH WINDSOR
Patrons were evacuated from Windsor RSL Club on Monday when the pizza oven caught fire at Windsor RSL Club. The fire started inside the oven flue at 36 Argyle St, South Windsor. Four crews raced to the scene and put the fire out by 1.45pm.
QUAKERS HILL
Crews from eight fire trucks fought a large house fire at Montrose St on Monday. A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said the house was engulfed in flames when the first crew arrived about 2.20pm. They triggered a second alarm which brought in more crews and their trucks and equipment. “We had seven trucks at one time from our Blacktown, Kellyville, Mt Druitt, Schofields, Baulkham Hills and Huntingwood stations,” he said. Crews surrounded the house in 40 minutes but powerlines had to isolated before the firefighters could enter the house.
