Man caught driving with a suspended licence

A man driving a silver Commodore on Withers Rd in Kellyville was stopped by police at 4.15pm on Friday. He was asked to produce his licence and upon police checking it, was found to be suspended

KELLYVILLE

A man driving a silver Commodore on Withers Rd in Kellyville was stopped by police at 4.15pm on Friday. He was asked to produce his licence and upon police checking it, was found to be suspended. The Wilmot man, 26, had his licence seized and given a court attendance notice for driving while suspended. He is due to appear in court later this month.

BEAUMONT HILLS

A Kellyville man, 19, was given a cannabis caution after police patrolling Turkeys Nest in Beaumont Hills saw four people around a vehicle at 7.30pm on Sunday. The police officers approached the vehicle and noticed the strong smell of cannabis. One man admitted to having some cannabis on him, which police found and seized.

KELLYVILLE RIDGE

A Kellyville Ridge man, 44, was assaulted by three men and left with possible fractures to his face when he tried to help the men in the carpark of the Ettamogah Pub in Kellyville Ridge on Wednesday. A police report said the man was leaving the pub at midnight when he saw an altercation involving three men. As a result of trying to go and help the men, he was turned on and assaulted by the three men instead. The men have been described as aged in their late 20s to 30s, caucasian in appearance and wearing tracksuit pants. They were last seen running from the area. The man was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and asking witnesses to call Riverstone Police Station on 9838 2199.

ROUSE HILL

A five-piece cook set, along with two dog boxes, baskets, jackets and blankets to the value of $400 were stolen from a store at Rouse Hill Town Centre between 11am and 11.15am on Friday, May 26.

VINEYARD/BOX HILL

A Box Hill man, 25, was charged with driving mid-range with a prescribed concentration of alcohol in his blood and not obeying directions of police when he was given a random breath test on Windsor Rd, Vineyard, on Saturday, May 27. A police report said at 1.30am, a man driving a Toyota Landcruiser failed to stop when initially directed to do so, almost colliding with a police officer in the process. A secondary attempt was made to have the vehicle stop, which was successful. A breath test was conducted with a positive result. The man was arrested for the purpose of a breath analysis and taken to Windsor Police Station. The analysis returned a reading in the mid range. The man had his licence suspended on the spot. He is due to appear at Windsor Local Court in July.

SCHOFIELDS

Tools including a power drill, laser level, battery charger and vacuum cleaner to the value of $3100 were stolen from a home in Ward St, Schofields, between 7pm last Sunday to 6.30am on Monday. A police report said an unknown person entered the premises through a ground-floor rear door.

PITT TOWN/QUAKERS HILL

A Quakers Hill man, 33, was charged with possessing a prohibited drug after police found the man in a Holden Commodore ute at Cattai Bridge Reserve in Pitt Town on Sunday, May 28. A police report said at 2pm police officers had reason to speak to the man and while doing so observed a small clear resealable bag inside the ute. Police seized the bag which contained what they will allege to be an amount of cocaine. The man is due to appear at Windsor Court this month.
