Tucked at the back of the Windsor RSL is the suburb’s garden oasis.
About a 10 minute walk from Windsor train station, Easy Lane is a bar and kitchen serving picture-perfect modern dishes.
Their new summer menu offers broad appeal; there are steaks and woodfired pizzas sitting alongside over-the-top fried chicken waffles, and on the other end of the health scale buddha and poke bowls.
Young diners are also taken care of with a children’s menu and for those looking to nibble or graze there are a range of starters and sides to pick through as well as a cheese board.
The cocktail list is extensive with lots of brightly-coloured options for the warm weather — or ask the friendly staff to make one that suits your tastes.
An ideal spot to soak up the sunshine on the weekend with a group of friends, Easy Lane is just as pleasant for solo diners enjoying a summer lunch on a quiet weekday.
A canopy of greenery shades the tables in the centre of the colourful al fresco dining area, with coloured metal chairs tucked around wooden-topped tables.
Other tables dot around the rest of the large dining space between the main service bar and a smaller bar at the back, with television screens fixed on the rear wall.
Visit on a Friday or Saturday night for live acoustic music and soak up the last summer light with a pizza and cocktail or two.
Easy Lane’s kitchen is open from 11.30am-3pm and 5pm-9pm on Monday to Thursdays, 11.30am-9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11.30am-9pm on Sundays at Windsor RSL, 36 Argyle St.
