The IT professional allegedly met the boy on a gay social app Grindr and made plans to meet the child in person. The boy later deleted the app.

However, police said when the boy cut contact, Nuri went to his Doonside home later the same day and approached him in the front yard.

He then allegedly pushed him to the ground and sexually assaulted him. He ran to his vehicle and drove off after the boy’s mother came outside and intervened.

Nuri appeared in person at Blacktown Court today and had his case adjourned for charge certification at Penrith Local Court on Friday, February 8.

His bail was continued this morning and he walked out of the courthouse following the adjournment.

Nuri, formerly of Kellyville Ridge, also had his new address suppressed in court.

After he was arrested on September 30, police decided not to oppose his bail during a Parramatta Bail Court hearing.

It is understood police would have lost the right to recommend strict bail conditions if they had unsuccessfully opposed bail during that hearing.

Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commander Detective Superintendent John Kerlatec told media in October the officers who made that decision were very experienced.
