BIG things are on the cards for Beaumont Hills shopping centre with the announcement Trifalga Property Group is looking to invest millions of dollars into a redevelopment.
With settlement on the shopping centre confirmed, the property developer said it planned to revamp the under-utilised asset, renaming it Beaumont Village and turning it into a social and dining hub.
Trifalga development director Antony Anise said the company was optimistic about Beaumont Village. “Nestled perfectly within the local community and perched up on a hill with amazing northwest vistas, it is an ideal location to sit, eat, shop, rest or play,” he said.
Plans include giving it a facelift and turning it into a social magnet.
Before obtaining development application approval and starting redevelopment in earnest, Beaumont Village is likely to get a new coat of paint among other cosmetic alterations, including signs and branding, with the possibility of new retailers.
The developer also has a vision for the centre and thinks improving the retail offering with outdoor eateries, childcare, gym and playground will rejuvenate the complex and create a buzz.
The centre is anchored by an IGA supermarket on a long-term lease, with specialty retailers such as a pharmacy, dry cleaner, baker, hairdresser and pizzeria.
“The area is dominated by young families and we want to address their modern needs with a safe, neighbourly and friendly upgrade to the existing centre,” Mr Anise said.
Beaumont Village is on a 12,500sq m site.
“We are fielding interest from aspirational tenants and in the process of surveying local residents with an eye to expand the retail offering and make it attractive to customers even outside the main trading area,” Mr Anise said.
“We value our local community and encourage it to get involved and shape the way the new centre will look by filling out a survey on beaumontvillage.com.au.”
Trifalga will send out 2500 tote bags with the new Beaumont Village branding to residents and an information session will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 3pm to 7pm with a gourmet food truck and an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered.
To reward those getting involved, Trifalga will give away 10 IGA shopping vouchers worth $100 each.
