IF YOU are seeking inspiration to declutter your house, look no further then Kellyville’s Kirsty Farrugia.

The mum of two not only runs her own business, Feels Like Home Professional Organisers, but has also branched out to produce podcasts. The Art of Decluttering, produced with Melbourne-based friend Amy Revell, made it into the iTunes top-10 for Health and Wellbeing within weeks of posting.

“Our podcast ... was birthed out of our love of podcasts and our desire to see other mums become more organised and have freedom by living in a decluttered home,” Mrs Farrugia said.

“Amy and I were talking one day about how we could collaborate ... and I suggested we do a podcast together. We both love minimalism and living in the freedom that a decluttered and organised home brings.

“We know it is a skill which can be taught and habits can be formed so we created our podcast. We knew our style of chatting and giving tips and tricks for 15-25 minutes would resonate with mums, but have been blown away by just how much this has resonated.

“We have been overwhelmed by the comments we receive daily from our listeners as to how useful and practical our tips are and how it feels like they are having a cuppa with their besties.”

The podcasts were posted six weeks ago and by the second week they had 400 downloads. By the third week it really took off, with 3000 downloads, and they made No.1 in the iTunes Health and Wellbeing category.

They have managed to stay in the top-20 ever since.

“Now we have discovered podcasting, we absolutely love it,” she said.

“We love hanging out together, even if we live in two different states, and being able to engage with other people we have never met before.”
