As a resident sleeps on the lounge, a Rouse Hill home is ransacked and two cars stolen

A white 2005 Holden Astra and a 2001 silver Rav4 along with handbags, five sets of house and car keys, laptop, iPad and an x-box were stolen from a home in Bellcast Rd in Rouse Hill between 11pm Saturday and 7am Sunday.

ROUSE HILL

A white 2005 Holden Astra and a 2001 silver Rav4 along with handbags, five sets of house and car keys, laptop, iPad and an x-box were stolen from a home in Bellcast Rd in Rouse Hill between 11pm Saturday and 7am Sunday. A police report said an unknown person or persons broke into the home after gaining entry into a car parked in the driveway. The thief or thieves stole a handbag from the car and used the garage buzzer to gain entry to the garage and went inside the home through an internal door. There they stole a laptop, mobile phone, iPad, x-box, handbag and keys to two cars, which they stole as well. All while one of the home residents slept on a lounge in the living room. Police are investigating the incident. ROUSE HILL

A Freshwater man, 24, was charged with possession of an illegal drug on Friday night after police, as part of operation Snow Cone, visited The Fiddler, to investigate drug use and anti social behaviour in and around licensed premises. The man was given a notice to appear at Parramatta Local Court on April 26. Operation Snow Cone was conducted by uniformed and plain clothed police officers from the Hills LAC and drug detection dog unit. They went to five licensed premises in the area and as a result 21 people were searched, nine drug detections conducted, five court attendance notices for possession of prohibited drugs handed out, one cannabis caution given, one fail to quit licensed premises given and one criminal infringement notice for offensive language given.

RIVERSTONE

A Quakers Hill man, 59, was given conditional bail after being charged with common assault as a result of an altercation with a patron in the poker machine area of Riverstone Memorial Club on Friday. A police report said at 3.40pm two men where playing the poker machines at the club, when they got into an argument. One man punched the other man, 45, from Riverstone man which caused him to fall off his chair into a poker machine. Other patrons intervened and the police were called. The Quakers Hill man is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on May 1.

STANHOPE GARDENS

A 79-year-old North Richmond man, had his wallet containing bank cards and $1000 cash stolen after leaving it on the counter of Stanhope Seafoods at Stanhope Village last Monday. A police report said at 12.30pm the man was ordering his lunch when he put his wallet on the counter and it was taken. Police were called and are now reviewing CCTV footage.

BEAUMONT HILLS

POLICE are looking for a man who exposed himself to a woman, 26, after she got off a bus at Brampton Drive, Beaumont Hills in the early hours of the Sunday, April 2. A police report said at 1.20am the woman got off a bus at Brampton Drive and walked to the intersection of Tallowood Grove and Softwood Ave when she noticed a man standing behind her. As she turned around she noticed he had exposed himself to her and she ran into a house. The man described as Indian in appearance, aged in his early 30s with stubble on his face and was wearing jeans and a long sleeved jumper, also ran away. Police are investigating the incident.

ROUSE HILL

Brazen thieves made off with $3300 worth of items after they broke into a Windsor Rd home between 7am on Monday, March 13 and 11am Monday, April 3. Speakers, amplifiers, a lawnmower, air conditioning parts and a gazebo were swiped during the burglary. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is urged to come forward.
